The nude art exhibition of this summer in Pärnu, traditionally, focuses
on the harmony of human body and soul.
Every summer the exhibition has its sub-theme. Either expectations,
dreams, aliens or something else trying to hit different tones in the
relationships between men and women through various artistic
connection with the expected 100th anniversary of our republic and our
neighbouring countries Finland, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland the Museum
of New Art pays more attention than ever to the art of the Baltic Sea
So our XXIV International Nude Art exhibition in 2017 is named MAN,
WOMAN AND THE SEA. The Baltic Sea connects artists from nine countries
and next to them we have invited guests from Iceland.
We show new artworks from
the artists who have been here in the previous years as well as from
artists totally new for us. They are: Benny Rytter, Peter Brandt
(Denmark), Wojciech Hoffmann (Poland), Evaldas Jansas and Vilmantas
Marcenkevicus (Lithuania), Gunars Binde (Latvia), Helgi Thorgils
Fridjonsson (Iceland), Jaakko Tuomainen, Hannu Riikonen, Hannu Leimo,
(Finland), Dag Wallin, Dascha Esselius (Sweden), Christine Evers
(Germany), Aili Vint, Jüri Arrak, Villu Plink, etc (Estonia). We can
also see artworks from our deceased masters Jaan Paavle and Evald Okas.
