DELUSORY LIGHTNESS OF AQUARELLE

Exhibition by the Society of Estonian Aquarellists

October 20 - November 24, 2019

The year 2019 has become the year of watercolor in Estonia. On the exhibition of the Society of Estonian Aquarellists there are artworks by artists who work with watercolors as their main technique as well as by artists for whom it is an enthralling means of expression next to others. The scale of idiosyncratic styles is wide, the artworks give off freedom and improvisation. The exhibition researches the technique of watercolor from today’s viewpoint and in the context of present day art.

Of the artists using the new technique of aquarelle, the participants at the exhibition are Liisa Kruusmägi, Marko Mäetamm, Kerstin Rei, Mariann Hakk-Eve, Tiiu Pallo-Vaik, Anneliis Vabul, Mall Paris, Marje Üksine, Naima Neidre, Mari Roosvalt, Illimar Paul, Marju Bormeister, Kadri Bormeister, Tiina Tammetalu, Pille Laub, Tiia Elken, Külli Tael, etc.
